Rest or whole-heartedness?

A colleague of mine recently shared his learning: when in overwhelm do not look for rest, look for wholeheartedness instead. It got me thinking ...
In my experience when you feel overwhelmed you need rest in order to bring balance back in your life, right? However, it often takes a long time of rest to be able to connect to this authentic self of ours and the zest and passion that come with that.

Interested in practicing something different instead? Try wholeheartedness, as in something you do with your “whole heart”, being sincere and committed. And ask yourself:
-    which projects and tasks can you choose that activate wholeheartedness?
-    which projects and tasks are worthy of your full attention now?
-    what is a good enough goal that you respect?
See what happens…
